A fourth Spider-Man movie is due for production in 2011 but it won’t feature Tobey Maguire and Sam Ramis as according to Hollywood reports both have been dropped from the franchise. All feature the animated series Spiderman, which perhaps will always be the endearing legacy of this Superhero. Tobey Maguire did a fantastic job bringing Spider-Man back to big screen life, but as was the case with the Batman franchise it’s better to re-invent rather than plod on in the same vein.

Lego Star Wars Tshirts – The Force Is Strong With This One!

It’s over 30 years since Star Wars appeared in cinemas and it still amazes Tshirt Dude how the force remains strong with the franchise. And that’s despite the new trilogy, the slightly ropey Clone Wars series and new trends such as Twilight and Dr Who. Lego though could be partly responsible as the Star Wars Lego sets and computer games have created a new set of fans – and there’s some fantastic Star Wars Lego Tshirts available too.

Both tshirts currently cost £11.99 each and are available in small, medium, large, extra large and even extra extra large. The Darth Vadar and Stormtrooper tshirts above aren’t due on sale at Play.com until the end of November and they’ll be joined by Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett and another Stormtrooper design.

These shirts look really cool. The imagery is big bold and comes with a legendary quote from the original trilogy. These tshirts are a great gift idea for Star Wars and Lego fans.

The big question is are they the best ever Star Wars tshirts? Tshirt Dude is still a massive fan of the Stormtrooper Passport Tshirt from Chunk, however for value these Lego Star Wars tees aren’t too far behind.

When Tshirt Dude first saw the legends Team Jacob and Team Edward appearing around the web a double take was needed. Fortunately it referred to the new Twilight Saga movie, new Moon, and not to the double take brothers John & Edward from X Factor. Twilight has generated a lot of merchandise and inevitably that means some nice new tshirts.

Both tshirts currently cost £11.99 each and are available in small, medium and large. They are a women’s skinny fit style too. Currently Team Edward is top of the tshirt top 10 sellers at Play.com with Team Jacob following in at 6th.

If you’re concerned that your Team Edward shirt may be mistaken for an X Factor singer then these tees showing the Twilight characters may well be more appropriate.

I Am McLovin Tshirt – It’s Superbad!

McLovin is simply the best part of the movie Superbad and you can now show your appreciation of the legend that’s McLovin with this really cool tshirt. It comes in a vivid red and has “I am McLovin” across the chest or you can choose a chocolate brown version, which quite frankly looks awful.. so go red because it’s a lot cooler and it’s what McLovin would have worn.

The tshirt is great value too at £9.99 (at time of writing). If you’ve not seen the movie Superbad then you’re missing out. Christopher Mintz-Plasse as McLovin aka Fogell together with cops played by Seth Rogen and Bill Hader steal the movie with their own sub-plot. You can see a clip of the film below (bad language!).

Weenicon Tshirts – Wee Film & Music Icons On Tshirts!

Converting popular pop stars and movie stars into miniature computerised icons (a bit like Wee Mees that you get on the Wii) have been popular online since the famous Abba to Zappa advertising campaign by The Observer in 2004. Now there are Weenicons which adopt a similar idea in that famous characters, like Ghostbusters, The A-Team and Del Boy are reduced in size and made graphically iconic.

Whilst looking at Play.com’s latest tshirt sale (they always have one and it’s a good place to find cheap good quality tshirts by the way) Tshirt Dude stumbled upon a whole collection of Weenicon Tshirts and they look pretty cool. As well as Only Fools & Horses, Mr T and Ghostbusters there’s also The Beatles, Austin Powers, Sylvester Stallone, Clockwork Orange and even Knightrider.

All cost £11.99 each (note that some are in a 2 for £18 offer) and are colourful looking tshirts with bright and large logos on the front. For the price and design they’re actually pretty good value. Will they catch on? And will they expand the range – let’s face the opportunities for Weenicons is endless provided they can relevant licenses.

Tshirt Dude will be keeping an eye on Weenicons to see what other cool tshirts they bring out for 2010!
